KUDOS of the Month goes to:

  • Jeff Stucke from Human Element for providing our staff retreat.
  • Kathy Skinner a long time trusted volunteer for doing such a great job of filling in for staff during the staff retreat.
  • Dr Kelli Hanson & Staff from Oak Hill Animal Hospital for their donation of blankets for shelter residents and children.
  • Pam Lene for hosting the 1st annual “Girlfriends Gala”. They collected much needed items for Albion & collected close to $300.00!
  • United Leasing who came in on a Saturday and went through a “honey do” list that was extensive. They cleaned out gutters and flower beds, repaired a shed, covered 22 mattresses with new protectors, power-washed a patio from ceiling to floor, cleaned, repaired and painted ceiling vents, painted in the shelter hallway, assembled an office chair, installed a computer drawer and if that wasn’t enough…they brought in 3 large bags of new towels and washcloths for our women and children.
  • Dr. Mary LynStoll from the Dept. of Philosophy at the University of Soutern Indiana for donating $900. The USI Philosophy Club held a fundraiser, Vagina Monologues, to benefit Albion Fellows Bacon Center. See picture below.
  • Vagina Monologues

  • Alicia Amon and Daisies Troop #82 for collecting donations and sold over 2000 boxes of cookies. Some people that were approached gave a donation & chose to give a box of cookies to Albion.
  • St. Mary’s catering, set up, audio-visual, security & HR departments for all they do to make our Gala go so smoothly.
  • USI management class (Jessica Mitchell, Jarad Whitehead, Alejandra Lopez, Aaron Cornelius, Jon Couts and Jenni Hein) for holding the “Acoustic Lunch Time” benefiting Albion. They were able to raise $429.35.
  • Amy Mangold with the Evansville Vanderburgh Public Library for holding a campaign where employees were able to donate $279.95 to wear jeans on Fridays.
Check being presented by Amy Mangold from the Evansville Public Library.
