Your attorney will file your divorce petition for you. You can have a protective order included with your divorce. If you already have one, let your attorney know.

There will be a provisional hearing. This determines temporary custody of minor children, visitation times, child support, temporary possession of the home, and who is to pay the bills until the final hearing.

The final hearing will occur no sooner than 60 days. You must have been living in Indiana for six months in order to meet residence requirements.
