Albion Fellows Bacon Center is a non-profit organization whose mission is to prevent domestic and sexual violence and to empower victims through advocacy, education, support services and collaborative partnerships.
The center provides services to victims of abuse (emotional, physical, sexual, and financial) in 11 counties in southern Indiana. Services are provided 24 hours a day to the following counties: Vanderburgh, Posy, Warrick, Spencer, Perry, Dubois, Gibson, Pike, Orange, Crawford, and Harrison.
Provides safe shelter for up to 45 days for victims of abuse and their minor children.
Two 24-hour domestic violence and sexual assault crisis lines are available to provide information, referrals and emotional support.
An advocate is available for assistance in filing battery complaints, protective orders, divorces, compensation clams for injuries, support during court hearings, and attorney referrals.
Crisis counseling, support groups and legal advocacy are available to victims of domestic violence throughout 11 counties in southern Indiana.
Crisis Response Program
Advocates are available 24 hours a day to provide in-person crisis counseling and discuss options for victims of domestic violence in Vanderburgh County.
Sexual Assault Program
Provides services to victims of sexual assault and their support systems through education, crisis counseling, support groups and legal advocacy throughout 11 counties in southern Indiana.
Speakers are available for public speaking engagements, workshops and training programs on domestic abuse, dating violence and sexual assault topics. Call 422-9372 to arrange for a speaker.
Primary Prevention Program
This program educates and engages youth (using evidence-based curriculum) and youth influencers and strategic discussion towards the objective of nurturing and developing healthy beliefs and behaviors in our community.
