Defining Sexual Assault
- When sex takes place, it must be between two willing partners who clearly give consent.
- If there is physical force or coercion, or a person is unwilling or unable to consent, it is sexual assault.
- Sexual assault can also be in the form of harassment or forcing a person to pose or look at things related to sex.
- Regardless of the relationship between the individuals even if they have had intercourse before sexual assault is a crime.
