When a member of your family has experienced domestic violence and/or sexual violence it can be
overwhelming. Depending on the age of the victim and your relationship to them, there are a wide array of emotions and issues that may arise. For some, this concept is so foreign that they grapple with how to react, what to say, and what NOT to say. Others know all too well what it means to be the victim and hearing your loved one talk about their experience could trigger emotions from your own experience. Albion Fellows Bacon Center is here to help!
Domestic and sexual violence not only impacts the person who has experienced it, but you and other family members, too. We recognize that these “secondary victims” can benefit from receiving services. Our crisis counseling program can help secondary victims work through their own feelings surrounding.
